You trust us with a love story. That is not a small thing, so this page says exactly what we do with it, in plain English.
Who we are
AmaranthGift is a UK digital gifting studio. We hand-build private, interactive web experiences as gifts. For anything about your data, email [email protected] and a human will reply.
What we collect
- What you give us in the request form: your name and email, the recipient's name, the occasion, your budget tier, a delivery date, your story, and any photo links you choose to share.
- What you send us afterwards: photos, words and other materials you email us for the build.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to serve and protect the site. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not set marketing cookies.
Why we use it
For one purpose: to reply to you and build your commission. That is our lawful basis under UK GDPR (taking steps you have asked for before and under a contract). We do not sell your data, we do not use your story to advertise, and we will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
The person the gift is for
You are sharing someone else's name, photos and memories with us. We treat that with the same care as yours: it is used only inside the gift you commission, we never contact your recipient, and we never use their details for anything else. Please only share what you genuinely have the right to share.
How long we keep it
- Working files (your photos, story notes, drafts) are deleted within 30 days of delivering your gift.
- If you do not go ahead, we delete your enquiry materials within 30 days of the conversation ending.
- The finished gift itself stays online as agreed, at least a year, because that is the product. Ask us to take it down at any time and it goes.
- Basic records of what was ordered and paid are kept as long as UK tax law requires.
Who touches your data
A few carefully chosen services help us run the studio. Each receives only what it needs:
- Formspree delivers your request form to our inbox.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the finished gifts.
- Stripe processes payment when you decide to go ahead. We never see or store your card details.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces on this site, which means Google receives the standard technical request data.
Privacy of the gift itself
Every real commission lives at an unlisted, unguessable address. We ask search engines not to index it, we never list it anywhere public, and we never show it as an example unless you ask us to in writing. The examples on this site use fictional couples, except one real commission that was rebuilt with every private detail changed, at the owner's request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Email [email protected] and we will act on it promptly. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly weaken it.
